Dance is a performing art! We have several opportunities for our Ballare Teatro Performing Arts Center dancers to strut their stuff.
June Concert
The 2027 June Concerts are scheduled for June 11th and 12th, 2027.
Dress rehearsals will take place on Tuesday, 6/8, Wednesday, 6/9, and Thursday, 6/10/2027. Dancers in Fundamental A-IB will only have their dress rehearsal on one day. Dancers in Level IIA-V may have rehearsals on more than one day. We will schedule earlier dress rehearsal times for younger dancers. More information about dress rehearsal and performance schedules will be published in the Recital Information Packet that will be handed out during the March 2027 family visitation week.
Tickets for the 2027 June Concerts are $18.00 + tax for ages 11-adult. Tickets for children ages 2-10 and seniors are $15.00 + tax. Tickets go on sale in March. A $25 production fee will be charged per family. This provides you access to the Livestream and Digital Download of all performances. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door until they sell out.
The Creative Dance Show
The Creative Dance Show will be held on Friday, June 5th, at 5:00 PM at Minnehaha Academy North Campus. This year's performance will be inspired by the children's book "Kindness Makes Us Strong, by Sophie Beer.
This is intended to be a low-key introduction to performance. The lights will be on in the theater, and teachers will be on stage with the dancers. This is one of our favorite performances, and we can’t wait to see you there!
Past performances include "We’re Going on a Bear Hunt" and "Today I Feel Silly."
This show is FREE!
A $25 production fee will be charged per family. This provides you access to the Livestream and Digital Download of all performances.
Rep Show
Members of level IV/V will participate in Rep, the student performance company at Ballare Teatro Performing Arts Center. We introduced Rep into the IV/V program at Ballare Teatro in 2023, which was a huge success. The dancers worked with local choreographers and debuted the first annual Rep performance, held at the Tek Box in downtown Minneapolis. We are thrilled to be performing at the Barbara Barker Center for Dance on the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities campus again this year! The performances are set for May 7th-9th.
We are ramping up for another year of amazing choreographers and wonderful dancing. This year, we will have Karen Christ Aalgaard, Non Edwards, Karla Grotting, Sarah Hauss, Sarah McCollough, Karis Sloss, and Timothy Herian. We are so fortunate to have these wonderful choreographers come in to set work for the Rep dancers at Ballare Teatro.

The Saturday Series
Ballare Teatro hosts 'The Saturday Series' for level II-V dancers. This is a Saturday Master Class series. This is a required part of Ballare Teatro's program. Below are the dates, schedules, and instructors of the Saturday Series workshops for the 2026-2027 season:

Isabella Saves the World
Isabella Saves the World is a biennial performance. The next Isabella season is 2027-2028.
The evil Snow Sorcerer has placed a curse on the world — winter will not go away! Isabella defies her mother and ventures out to bring the seasons back. She encounters a swirling snowstorm and soldiers guarding the castle where the worker fairies make the snowflakes. Fighting her way through a forest that comes to life, she finds the Evergreen Elder, who helps her along the way. Will Isabella succeed? You need to come to the show to find out!
Dancers in Levels Fundamental B through Level V participate in this original ballet. A $25 production fee will be charged per family. This provides you access to the Livestream and Digital Download of all performances.
Dancers who participate in this show will have a rehearsal fee added to their monthly tuition. This fee pays for the teachers’ time at rehearsals.
*Dancers in level IIA/IIB/III may be narrators of the show! Narrators will perform their speaking part only in the show they are dancing in. Dancers in level III/IV/V are in all shows.
