Class Description: (grades K-2) 'Don't be a plain Jane - Let your Fancy come through in our Fancy Nancy musical theater workshop. We will explore what we believe it means to be fancy. What are some special things we dream about and places we want to go? We will learn some fun acting games, catchy songs and a fancy, fantastic dance that will end in a splendiferously fancy performance at the end!'

Once Upon a Fairytale

Class Description:  (ages 3-5 or 4-6) Come dive into classic fairytales through music, games and dance. We will try on magic slippers, avoid spinning spindles and dance at the ball as we create our own fairytale that mix up our favorites.

A Knights Tale

Class Description:  (ages 4-6) Whether it is defeating lions, tigers or dragons these dancers will be prepared for whatever challenge they come across. Students will build strength with movement and learn fun acting games. They will go on adventures, treasure hunts, and learn how to tell their story of what they came across.

Angelina Ballerina

Class Description:  (ages 3-5)- Enter the Camembert Academy and take class like Angelina Ballerina. Dancers in this camp will learn to plie, turn, and jete with exuberance just like Angelina and her friends. Absolutely Positively, a great time will be had by all!

Superhero’s Magical Powers

Class Description:  ( grades K-2) Zip, Zap and Zop! Ever dreamed about being a super hero and wondered what your magical talent would be? This is the class for you! Throughout the week dancers will learn different styles of movement to see what suits them best. They will also play fun games, read stories and create their very own superhero that will be unveiled on the last day of class.

Composition Camp

Class Description:  ( ages 10 and up) In this camp dancers will learn the art of creating a dance, and create their own work to be performed the last day of class.

Summer Intensive – ‘Summer Camp’

Camp Description: This summer we are very excited to have the opportunity to offer a summer intensive that will culminate in a performance associated with the Concerts In The Parks series put on by the Minneapolis Park Board. The intensive is a combination of technique and repertory. Dancers will become stronger, more versatile, taking everything – ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, West African, and Yoga. Then our wonderful instructors will set choreography on them that will be performed in a show entitled ‘Summer Camp’ which is based on the CD Camp Lisa. It should be a great experience for all involved.

All dancers of a certain level are encouraged to take part in this program. What does that mean? This program is for dancers currently enrolled in levels II or higher. Dancers not enrolled at Ballare Teatro need to be turning 10 this summer, and have had at least 3 years of recent dance experience in ballet and tap. A placement audition will be held for dancers not currently enrolled at Ballare Teatro. Please call the studio at 612-721-8619 to set up your audition.

An installment plan is available for tuition. If you would like to divide up your tuition, please contact Ann Williams at 612-721-8619. She will be happy to set up a plan that will make this program more affordable for you!
